2012: Presidential elections in U.S., Venezuela, Mexico, France, Finland
The next U.S. president will run for re-election in 2012.
Venezuela is also scheduled to have a presidential election, to identify the successor to Hugo Chavez.
In Mexico, Felipe Calderon's six-year presidential term will come to an end, and his successor will be elected.
The President of France, Nicolas Sarcozy, will run for re-election in 2012 after the close of his first five-year term.
Tarja Halonen-the first female president of Finland-will complete her second term in office and her successor will be elected in 2012.
