2011: U.S. demand for nanotechnology medical products reaches $53 million
According to Freedonia Group, "the greatest short-term impact of nanotechnology in the US health care market will be in
therapies and diagnostics for cancer and central nervous system disorders." U.S. demand for nanotech medical products will grow 17.5% annually through 2011. For 2006, the total product demand was $23.6 billion. Freedonia believes that by 2016, the increasing flow of nanotech-based medical supplies will shoot demand up to $110 billion.
