2010: International Expo, Shanghai: "Better City, Better Life"

The city of Shanghai will host the World Expo from May 1st through October 31st, 2010. Themed, "Better City, Better Life," the 2010 Expo will celebrate modern-day Shanghai and its economic and cultural emergence onto the world stage over the course of the century. Since the first World Expo (World Fair) in London in 1851, the purpose has been to unveil and promote global innovation and to acknowledge the importance of remembering the past and looking toward the future.
