2010: 15th anniversary of the WTO

The World Trade Organization (WTO) was founded on January 1st, 1995. The purpose of the organization is to provide a forum in which international governments can negotiate trade agreements. The core of the WTO is its trade rules that derive from negotiated and signed trade agreements between nations. Today, the organization is comprised of 151 member governments and 31 observer governments. January 1st, 2010 will be the 15th Anniversary of the WTO.
